Active Prayer

Jesus did not come to start a new religion… He came to give us the truth, that we can have a personal relationship with God through Him! As with any relationship, communication is vital and that is why we give prayer such a high priority in Wells Vineyard. We encourage 'active' prayer in our Sunday morning meetings, homegroups, discipleship groups… in fact we want people to be open to hear God 24/7.

We have what we call 'ministry time' at the end of every meeting. We simply invite anyone who has a need for prayer… whether it is meeting Jesus for the first time, healing, encouragement, or simply wanting more of God in their life… to come to the front where one of our ministry team will gladly pray for them. Too scary?… then receive 'ministry time' in one of our weekly homegroups (see left).

Remember communication works both ways. It is important to just STOP… and wait on God. We have found that it is in these times that God really moves!

  Prayer on the Streets

We are reguarly seen at the market place in Wells on a Saturday morning with our 'Healing Prayer' banner.

Making that step of faith by reaching out to the community through Gods healing power has truly been a blessing.
